COVID-19 AND ASTHMA

We know the asthma community faced significant uncertainties and challenges as the COVID-19 outbreak in Australia first unfolded. As the vaccine roll out continues and community outbreaks continue to emerge, you may have more questions.

Asthma Australia has been listening and responding to your concerns.

To help address some of your concerns about what the COVID-19 vaccine means for you, we’ve put together some COVID-19 vaccine and asthma FAQs.

You can read more about the COVID-19 vaccine and what it means for someone with asthma via the button below.

Other work in this space

We undertook a COVID-19 and Asthma survey (including an ongoing pulse check) to understand the experiences of people with asthma.

We commissioned a study through our National Research Fund, to look at the Impact of COVID-19 on Asthma. This was completed by the George Institute for Global Health.

View the full report from the study here and further information below.

You can contact 1800 ASTHMA (1800 278 462) and speak to our Asthma Educators if you still have questions or concerns.
