The first class allows you to learn breathing techniques you can use every day, to breathe with more confidence as well as some tips on wearing a facemask so it’s both comfy and safe. The series is presented by Ms Janet Bondarenko, a senior respiratory physiotherapist at the Alfred hospital. She has extensive clinical experience in the management of chronic respiratory disease and currently co-ordinates the pulmonary rehabilitation program and the outpatient physiotherapy respiratory clinic at Alfred Health.  She is a PhD candidate researching the characteristics and treatment of dysfunctional breathing in asthma.

Breathing in Cold Weather

The second webinar allows you to learn breathing techniques you can use during the cold weather, as well as some tips on airway clearance strategies that are useful if you’re feeling congested. These strategies such as ‘huffing’ may be particularly useful if you also have bronchiectasis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
