Asthma Australia is pleased to welcome an update to the The Australian Asthma Handbook (2019), announced today by the National Asthma Council Australia.

The National Asthma Council Australia’s Asthma Handbook sets the best practice guidelines for primary healthcare professionals to diagnose and mange asthma.  For a person with asthma, the guidelines essentially set the standard of medical care and treatments they can expect in hospital, at their GP and at the pharmacy.  There have been some important changes.

Asthma Australia has developed a guide to assist people with asthma understand how the new updates may impact them.  To view this guide, click here. People are empowered to use this guide as a means to receive better health care and understand their asthma.
