Asthma Australia’s Asthma Week 2026: 1 – 7 September

Be part of a national movement to shine a light on women and asthma.

1 in 5 Australian women live with asthma, and women are twice as likely to die from asthma as men.

This Asthma Week, we’re shining a light on women and asthma, and how from childhood through to older age, hormonal shifts across the life course, can change how asthma affects women.

We’ll feature real stories of women living with asthma and seek the insights and experiences of women by asking questions about their asthma.

By sharing this year’s Asthma Week campaign, you’ll help start important conversations, raise awareness and connect more women with trusted information and support.
