22303VIC Course in
Verifying the Correct Use of Adrenaline Autoinjector Devices

For school staff who want to become anaphylaxis supervisors in their schools or who wish to renew their qualification.

The Department of Education and Training has listed Asthma Australia as its preferred provider for the short course 22303VIC.  Please note – this course is recommended for School staff only. It is valid for schools in the state of Victoria who fall under Ministerial Order 706 and the associated guidelines. This course is NOT accepted by ACECQA for Children’s Services.

Asthma Australia is a Registered Training Organisation – Provider Number 4987.

BEFORE YOU ENROL

This course has two prerequisites which you must have already completed before attending this training:

PRE-REQUISITE 1:

We require a valid ASCIA e-certificate to be uploaded at registration.

If you do not have a valid certificate (see photo left) then Click here to complete your e-training (allow a minimum of 90 minutes to complete). Save your ASCIA e-training completion certificate, and then return to this page to continue with your enrolment.

Once you have received your ASCIA e-training certificate this needs to be verified within 30 days. Your ASCIA e-training completion certificate must be signed within 30 days, and a signed certificate is valid for 2 years.The ASCIA e-training for Victorian Schools is not managed by Asthma Australia and our staff cannot provide you with technical assistance for this course. PRE-REQUISITE 2: 

You must also have completed ONE of the following courses no more than 3 years before the date of your training:

  •  10710NAT Course in Allergy and Anaphylaxis Awareness
  •  10313NAT Course in Anaphylaxis Awareness
  •  22300VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

No other courses are accepted. This includes first aid courses.

If you do not have a valid certificate for any of the above courses, you may only attend the face to face 22303VIC sessions listed in the session table below. When you enrol in these sessions, Asthma Australia will assess your enrolment documents and where required will automatically enrol you into a mixed mode (additional Part 1- online / Part 2 – face to face) course to undertake 10710NAT Course in Allergy and Anaphylaxis Awareness.

You will be required to:

  • Complete Part 1 online training for 10710NAT (approximately 1 hour), in addition to the ASCIA e-training
  • Arrive 1 hour before the scheduled verifiers course (as listed below) to complete the Part 2 practical assessment for 10710NAT.

ENROLMENT

Please select a session from the table below. Once you have done this please click on the link beside the session you would like to enrol in. You will be required to upload your pre-requisite 1 ASCIA certificate, and pre-requisite 2 certificate, as part of the enrolment process.

You will receive a notification of enrolment. Please ignore any requests for Returning Participant ID numbers. 

For all enrolments in Face to Face sessions, one week before the scheduled session date, Asthma Australia will follow up with you by email to confirm session requirements. For enrolment in Online sessions you will receive your login within seven days of enrolment.

 

MODE OF DELIVERY AND DURATION

This course is available both face to face and online

ONLINE To be eligible for the online course, you need to provide both pre-requisites for the course to Asthma Australia at time of enrolment. Please upload both pre- requisites as one PDF file. Failure to do so will delay your access to the online course.

The online version requires you to complete online modules and send in a short video of yourself completing the practical task. The online course can be completed at a time which suits you.

FACE TO FACE The face to face version requires you to attend a 2 hour session which incorporates theory and practical elements. Please note, the session time may vary depending on size of class and is an indication only.

Government Free for up to two staff per school campus from a government school in Victoria

Funded by the Department of Education and Training – invoiced directly to the Department
