Together, as a community, we can all help our children to breathe strong, thrive and dream big on Country.
Asthma care is a responsibility that belongs to the whole community, and with the right asthma care, children can live a healthy and active life.
The Breathe Strong & Dream Big in Lutruwita campaign is a collaboration between Asthma Australia and Connected Beginnings Lutruwita/Tasmania to support children, families and the community in working together for children with asthma.

Our campaign with Connected Beginnings Lutruwita, a program of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre, ‘Breathe Strong and Dream Big in Lutruwita’, features commissioned artwork by Ruby Moore, a talented and proud Palawa artist from Lutruwita/Tasmania, whose work has powerfully elevated and strengthened the campaign’s message.
Ruby’s artwork is central to the campaign’s three posters, which promote asthma awareness, provide a step-by-step guide to asthma first aid, and encourage the community to update their Asthma Action Plans.
Ruby works across both digital and canvas media, drawing inspiration from her deep love and respect for family, culture, Country, and community.
Ruby shares: “With family connections to the Tayaritja/Furneaux Islands, including Truwana/Cape Barren and Flinders Island, my heritage plays an important role in shaping my art.
I began creating art as a hobby after finishing school, and it quickly grew into a strong passion. I have always loved being creative in all forms and continue to develop my style and share my work with others.”
